María Alvarez is an Argentinian writer and director. She is currently directing her third film, “Close” (2021), last part of her trilogy about old age and art that started with “Las cinéphilas” (2017, screened at 40 festivals in 20 countries). “Le temps perdu”, to be release in 2020, is the second part of the documentary trilogy. She is also currently developing her first feature film, “The influences”. She wrote “The Sea”, short directed by Cecilia Atán (Short Corner at Cannes), and “Burn before reading”, theatre play winner of the second price “Fray Luis de León” from Spain, published in 2016.
