Alexe Poukine (Belgium)

Born in 1982, Alexe Poukine is a director and scriptwriter. After attending drama classes, she studied ethnology, documentary filmmaking and scriptwriting. Petites Morts, her graduation film, has been selected in several international festivals. Her first feature-length documentary film, Dormir, dormir dans les pierres, was screened in 2013 in numerous festivals. That Which Does Not Kill has won numerous awards at prestigious festivals, including the Jury Prize for most innovative feature film at Visions du Réel.
