Emilia Śniegoska is a director and linguist. She graduated from the University of Greifswald (Germany) in 2010 with degrees in German as a Foreign Language, Baltic, and Finnish Studies. From 2006 to 2010, she collaborated with the Centre for Theatre Practices Gardzienice, exploring the intersection of language, movement, and performance. In 2018, she earned a degree in film directing from the Polish National Film and Television School in Łódź. Since 2014, she has worked as an assistant director on fiction and documentary films, as well as various television formats. Her short documentary 19.91 (2019), and her feature-length documentary debut, Double Trouble (2025) premiered at Visions du Réel 2025. She lives and works in Berlin.
