Graduated​ ​from​ ​an​ ​engineering​ ​school,​ ​Cécile​ ​Carre​ ​has​ ​worked​ ​for​ ​one​ ​year​ ​in​ ​the​ ​energy​ ​sector​ ​before​ ​she chose​ ​to​ ​retrain​ ​as​ ​an​ ​animator.​ ​She​ ​studied​ ​at​ ​GOBELINS,​ ​l’école​ ​de​ ​l’image,​ ​for​ ​the​ ​4-year​ ​program Character​ ​Animation​ ​and​ ​Animated​ ​Filmmaking.​ ​She​ ​directed​ ​and​ ​made​ ​her​ ​graduation​ ​film​ ​during​ ​her fourth​ ​year,​ ​partly​ ​in​ ​GOBELINS,​ ​then​ ​in​ ​CalArts​ ​for​ ​an​ ​exchange​ ​program.
