Mircea Săucan (Romania)

Mircea Săucan (1928–2003) was born in Paris to a Romanian father and a Jewish mother. After studying film directing in Moscow with Sergei Eisenstein, among others, he devoted himself to his own film and documentary work, screenwriting, and literary prose that did not conform to the doctrine of the then communist regime in Romania.
