Born in Switzerland in 1978, Marie-Eve Hildbrand grew up in the Jorat. She graduated from the ECAL in 2004 with honours and co-founded Terrain Vague, a collective of directors based in Lausanne. In 2017, she received the Special Prize of the Swiss Film Academy for the casting and direction of Claude Barras’ MA VIE DE COURGETTE. Winner of the 2018 Migros Culture Percentage competition, she presented her first feature-length documentary Healers at the opening of the international festival Visions du Réel 2021, in Nyon.
