Alberto Martín Menacho was born in 1986 in Madrid, Spain. He is a filmmaker, graduated in Visual Arts at the Haute école d’art et de design in Geneva. He directed in 2015, Pata negra, his first short film. In 2018, Mi amado, las montañas, received the Best short film Award at Las Palmas International Film Festival. Alberto has been artist in residence at Tabakalera and Casa de Velázquez, Academy of France in Madrid. His work has been presented in art galleries, museums and film festivals, including the Photo Elysée Museum in Lausanne, the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, FIDMarseille, Entrevues Belfort or the International Film Festival Rotterdam. His first feature film, Antier noche, was presented in 2023 at Visions du Réel.
