Valeria Stucki (1983) grew up in a small Swiss village. At a young age she left for the french part of Switzerland and from there to Barcelona and then back again to Geneva, the city where she graduated in film direction at the Haute école d’art et de design (HEAD) in 2009. She is working as an independent filmmaker and video artist for theatre and dance productions in Geneva, Bern, Barcelona, Valencia and Berlin. She has made several short films and the medium-length documentary Kosovo Dreams. Currently her first feature-length film Zimmerwald (with the support of the Federal Office of Culture, Swiss Television, Cinéforom and the Bern Film Fund) has its World Premiere at the Vision du Réel Festival in Nyon 2023.
