Guillermo Carreras-Candi is a creative executive and independent filmmaker currently living in the catalan Pyrenees. He studied History and Sound before graduating at the Catalan film university (ESCAC-UB) where he specializes in Documentary Film. In the Balkan region he made his graduation film Tragovi (2010) and the video exhibition Eho Tragova (2011). He continued filming in the Balkans making the documentaries SK 2014 (2014) and When Clouds Burst (2014), both co-directed with Kumjana Novakova, such as their first feature film together Disturbed Earth(2021). He has presented his work in festivals as DokLeipzig, CPH:DOX, Dokfest Munchen, Sarajevo FIlm Festival or Documenta Madrid. He has been also working as Head of Content & Creative Executive on online new media and digital platforms in Spain, the US and France, leading creative teams and producing online documentaries and short video formats.
