Pedro Speroni is a scriptwriter, film director and producer. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2015 he made his first short film “Pilgrimage”, premiered at 2015 BAFICI. In 2021 he made his first feature film “Rancho” selected at Berlinale Talents. It had its national premiere at BAFICI 2021 –it won the award for best first film– and its international premiere at the Sheffield Doc / Fest International Competition. It was also selected at the Guadalajara film festival, SEMINCI, 3 Continents festival, International Film Festival Entrevues Belfort - Audience Best Feature film award-, among others. In 2023, his feature documentary film “The Bilbaos” will have its international premiere at the Visions du réel international competition. Also, he is currently developing his next documentary "Sisters", about the life of a group of women deprived of their freedom in a maximum-security prison in Argentina.
