Martha Mechow, born in 1996 in Berlin. She studied film at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg and founded the directing collective Bäckerei Harmony together with Leonie Jenning at the age of 16. Since the 2021 they have been working together as house directors at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg Platz. Martha Mechow began working with directors such as René Pollesch, Max Linz, Melanie Kretschmann, Sarah Blaßkiewitz and Jan Koslowski while still in school, and has been acting in film and theater ever since. Her bachelor thesis film Losing Faith (2023) won the award for the best graduate work of the HFBK sponsored by MOIN- Filmförderung and had its world premiere at FID Marseille.
