Anaïs Taracena (Guatemala)

Anais Taracena is a director and producer with master degree in Political Science. In Guatemala she works with human Rights Organizations. Her short films have been screened at international film festivals and universities in different countries. The silence of the Mole, her opera prima, was screened in 90 Film Festivals and won 25 international awards such as the Special Jury Award at the Jeonju International Film Festival, South Korea and the Tim Hetherington Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest. The film was selected to represent Guatemala for the Oscar Awards 2023 and the Goya Awards 2023.
