Keti Papadema (Cyprus)

Keti Papadema is a Cypriot filmmaker with studies in fine arts and documentary filmmaking. After completing her studies she worked for the Scottish company Intrepid Cinema on the multi-award-winning documentary The Islands and the Whales, and then moved to Cyprus where she has worked in local productions as well as wer own projects.

Keti’s work explores the relationship between personal micro-stories and broader social phenomena through hybrid forms of cinema and has been showcased and recognized at international festivals and within the context of visual art exhibitions. Her latest film, Every Sunday, premiered at the Sarajevo International Film Festival and won, among other awards, the Best Documentary Award at the Drama International Short Film Festival.

Keti is currently one of the two artistic directors of the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus.
