Mateo Vega is an artist and filmmaker based between Amsterdam and Lima, and a graduate of Sandberg Instituut, Amsterdam University College and The New School. Their work departs from the subjective experience of (urban) space, examining the politics, histories and futurities embedded in landscapes, architecture, and infrastructure. Their films and installations have been presented at institutions and festivals including The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Film at Lincoln Center (USA), International Film Festival Rotterdam, Glasgow Short Film Festival (UK), and many others. Their work is distributed by LI-MA in Amsterdam.
