Pierre Oscar Lévy started his career in painting before setting it aside to become an editor. He began directing in 1982 and has also been a producer since 1989. He is a specialist in documentary films and has directed over a hundred films on a wide variety of subjects. He produced, wrote, and directed the scientific and technical program “Archimède(s)” on “Arte” from 1994 to 2003. From 1979 to 1981, he worked as a cartoonist and journalist, notably for the daily newspapers “Le Monde” and “Le Quotidien de Paris”. He is also the author of the script for a graphic novel, illustrated by Frederik Peeters, published in 2010, “Château de sable”, which won several awards and was adapted into a film in 2021 under the title “Old” (M. Night Shyamalan).
