After graduating from the Department of Motion Picture at the National Taiwan University of Arts, Lu Yuan-chi participated in nearly forty productions across fiction and documentary, commercials, short films, television drama, and music videos. He has worked as a documentary director since 2006. His long-term collaboration with director Shen Ko-shang began in 2007; they co-founded a studio in 2008 and have since created several films together.
