Marion Guillard is a French filmmaker, researcher, and visual artist. She grew up in Paris, but studied at the agricultural school in Burgundy. The productivist approach to the living world was so violent that she moved closer to images and took a University Diploma in "wildlife cinema”.
After the master's degree in "Speculative Narration" she began to work in the visual arts and started thinking theoretically about her career, particularly in the world of wildlife cinema. All her work focuses on the role that representations of “nature” have in our contemporary societies and the place that images take in our lives.
Her artistic work revolves around “moving image”.
Since 2017, she has been co-directing a teaching unit at ERG in experimental / eco-cinema: "Experimentations around analogic film".
She lives and works in Brussels
