Ole Elfenkämper is a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, and producer. He began his career in photojournalism in the Balkans and the Middle East before transitioning to documentary production in 2014. He has received two Grimme-Preis nominations for his work. His documentary work is characterized by an interest in the subtle dynamics of everyday life. His films linger on people and places shaped by social tensions, whose experiences often remain at the margins of public attention, and have screened at DOK Leipzig, Duisburger Filmwoche, and Big Sky, among others.
