Gianluca Garu Paionni is a Florence-based visual artist and experimental filmmaker working primarily with video and digital media.
Influenced by the radical art movements of the 1960s and relational aesthetics, his practice explores identity, perception, and the boundaries between intimacy and alienation. Through visual dissonance, irony, and obsessive repetition, his films unfold in suspended, often unsettling atmospheres, challenging familiar notions of order, coherence, and control.
