Tereza Kopáčová graduated from the Department of Documentary Film at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. She made her first appearance on the television screen as a publicist, contributing to the travelogue cycle Cestománie and the documentary cycle GEN – Gallery of the Nation’s Elite. In 2004, her documentary Christ Age, Ladies had its premiere, representing a remarkable and partially merciless portrait of five young emancipated women, who graduated just before the Velvet Revolution in 1989 and who were about 33 years old at the time of shooting. For several years, Kopáčová also worked as chief editor of the Story magazine.
