Åsa Blanck (Sweden)

Åsa Blanck (b. 1970) is a director and producer. She and codirector and cameraman Johan Palmgren (b. 1967) shot the documentary Ebba & Torgny and Love’s Wondrous Ways (2003). Three years later they entered another film, The Substitute, in the documentary competition at the KVIFF. At last year’s documentary film festival in Leipzig their latest feature-length film, The Swindler, was screened to acclaim. is powered by Doc Alliance, a creative partnership of 7 key European documentary film festivals. Our aim is to advance the documentary genre, support its diversity and promote quality creative documentary films.
