Anal Shah is a photographer/filmmaker who divides his time between India and United States. His debut film Kabir Song was shown at the Viennale’06 and the 45th Ann Arbor Film Festival among other venues. Laxmi at the Gate, his second film also premiered at the Viennale ’07 and was subsequently shown at the Shadow Film Festival in Amsterdam among other venues. An alumni of the Film and Video program at the California Institute of the Arts, Anal currently serves on the faculty in the film studies program at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
