Sebastián Talavera (Spain)

Sebastián Talavera is PhD of the University of Seville in Audiovisual Communication and Publicity (1989 – 1994). Since 1989 he has combined his work as freelance and his career as TV director in Canal Sur Television, where he has worked for the last ten years. In 2003 he became professor at the University of Seville, teaching the subjects “Direction” and “Documentary direction”. As filmmaker he has just finished his third documentary: Camino a Nahr Al Bared (Road to Nahr Al Bared). His two first films are Tercero G (2002), and Dueños de nada (2003), which obtained several prizes around the world and was selected by the most prestigious documentary film festivals like IDFA or HotDocs.
