Jawed Taiman (United Kingdom)

Jawed was born in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 1981. He moved to the United Kingdom to complete his education in 2002, and acquired his BA in Computer Animation from the University of Teesside England. In 2005, he moved to France and joined EICAR, The International Film School of Paris to join the BFA Film & Television Film Programme, and completed his final year in 2006.

Whilst attending EICAR, Jawed directed the short fictional film “Zendan” which won the award for Best Film. He then relocated back to England to open Film FX Zone Ltd, a company dedicated to promoting Afghan music & media, with his friend & fellow Afghan, Producer Jamshed Soori.
