Born in Lausanne in 1984, Sergio Da Costa graduates in cinema from the Haute École d’art et de design (HEAD) in Ge¬neva. There, he directs two shorts before starting to work with Maya Kosa: Inter¬view with Almiro Vilar da Costa (2009) and Snack-bar Aquário (2010). Rio Corgo (2015), their first feature docu¬mentary, is awarded at Crossing Europe and Doclisboa. Bird Island (2019), their last feature film premieres at the Locarno’s film festival.
