She is born in Melo, Uruguay, in 1976, where she attends primary and secondary school. In Montevideo she studies Communication in the State’s University. At the same time she studies photography and takes workshops on filmmaking at the Uruguayan Cinema School. She travels to Belgium in 2001 and enters the I.A.D Cinema School in Louvain-la-Neuve, where she got her bachelor’s degree in Cinematography in 2004. In 2004, and together with Stefano Tononi, she starts the independent filmmakers collective CRONOPIO FILM.
