Born in Lisbon in 1974, she received her B.A. in Communication Studies from Lisbon’s Nova University in 1998. Since then she started to make films that have been shown in festivals such as Cannes (Directors’ Fortnight), Berlinale, Rotterdam, BFI London Film Festival, Festival d’Angers, Viennale, Vila do Conde, Rio de Janeiro, Zinebi, among others. In 2006 she became a member of the production company Terratreme (formerly Raiva), where she has been working as an executive producer in several projects.
