The filmmaker and screenwriter Maria Clara Escobar was born on July 4, 1988, in Rio de Janeiro, now she lives in São Paulo. She graduated from the School of Cinema Darci Ribeiro. In 2004 she made her first short film called "Domingo" (Sunday) and it was selected for the film festival in San Sebastian. She became a a well-known filmmaker after she released her documentary "The Days with Him" about her father Carlos Enrique Escobar.
