Macarena Aguiló is a Chilean director, screenwriter, and producer at El Espino Films. She has a master 's degree in film studies of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. His work has focused on making films that work on memory, approached from the protagonism of childhood, the effects of political and gender violence, and parental filiation. Director of The chilean building (2010) and producer of Night Shot (2019), by Carolina Moscoso (Grand Prix FIDMarseille 2020, Award of Excellence Yamagata IDFF 2021). She has collaborated in the production of the documentaries Imagen Final (2008) by Andrés Habegger and as script advisor for Allende, mi abuelo Allende by Marcia Tambutti, L'oeil d'Or Cannes 2015 Award. It currently producing Memories of an Oblivion by Carmen Castillo (in co-production with Les Films d'Içi) and directing the documentaries The court case and The portrait, with the support of the Chilean Audiovisual Fund.
