Marta Prus was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1987. Between 2006 and 2009 she studied History of Art at the University of Warsaw and graduated from a Documentary Film Making Course in Andrzej Wajda's Master School. In 2009 she started Film Directing studies at the National Polish Film School in Łódź. Her first film Vakha and Magomed (2010) won six prizes at international film festivals.
