Alejandra Grinschpun was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1973. Graduated on Image and Sound Designer at Buenos Aires University. Studied Social and Political Anthropology at Flacso, Buenos Aires. Studied Photography with Adriana Lestido in Buenos Aires, with Mary Ellen Mark in México and also at the International Center of Photography of New York. Gave photography and audio-visual media workshops for the Street Children Program for over eight years. Published “Otra Mirada” a book on Buenos Aires City as photographed by street children, prologue by Eduardo Galeano. Directed “Desde la calle”, 8 chapters Documentary Series for Channel Encuentro, Argentina. Winner Best Documentary Series Price at New Glances in Argentinian Television, UNQ. Street Years is her first feature film.
