In a region steeped in history, the film is set in the lost country of former Yugoslavia. The protagonist of the film Brankica lives the nomadic existence of a travelling entertainer and follows the rhythm of the fairgrounds, a routine she has been involved in since her childhood. Brankica talent consists of her roamign the ‘wall of death’ on her motorbike, defying gravity and time, for the duration of the show. Her brothers are now either dead, or severely injured, and the glory days appear to have past. Successfully reflecting the heavy and internal vibrations of a world and the characters that inhabit it Mladen Kovacevic draws a new benevolent and visionary portrait of adventurers seemingly condemned forever to ride or fall.
