Fixers are local guides who tell journalists, amongst other things, how to get the best images of war. They provide information on everything from shot composition, for example, advising from what angle to shoot a ruined airport to complex logistical challenges, as in which checkpoint to pass through and which to avoid. A wartime road movie from eastern Ukraine, the film follows the fixer Ruslan and a Columbian television crew that wants to see one thing: war.
