Márta Bolba is a Lutheran pastor at Mandák House, in the poorest part of Budapest’s 8th district. The pastor’s congregation, however, includes a church in the wealthier part of the district, the “Palace Quarter”. Her community is socially diverse, but for Márta, “Everyone has a place at Wednesday night dinners, because everyone is equal at the table of the Lord”. Márta is both a pastor and a civil activist; she fights for social equality in offices and at protests. The film follows the pastor and her congregation through the most important stations of the year.
