Olda (17) is a defendant awaiting trial in a detention centre for juveniles. He tries to fill the void and forget the recent past. The monotony of prison life is gradually pervaded by testimonies to his brutal assault on a homeless man. Over one summer’s night, holiday boredom gave way to cruel amusement that resulted in death. In prison, Olda recalls how he described the violence he committed that night. Gradually he remembers bits of the police reconstruction, when he had to re-enact the whole attack. However, his memory is just as imperfect and incomplete as the effort to understand the senseless act of violence.
