„Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two makes four. If that is granted, all else follows." This sentence, one of the essential sentences from Orwell's novel 1984 about totalitarian society deprived of all freedom and humanity resulting from it, makes a subtitle of Václav Müller's film, which, by form, is a documentary with poetic elements. Realistic surroundings and interviews are complemented with animation made by artist Monika Pavlovičová, switched with archival shots illustrating the age of George Orwell (1903–1950), one of the biggest visionaries of the 20th century. One of the few left-wing intelectuals of his age who was able to reveal the monstrosity of the regime in the „Country where yesterday means tomorrow.“ For the younger, that is, in the Soviet Union.
