For most of her life, Jola did what she was supposed to do. She got married and raised six children. Now when she’s 69, she wants to leave the past behind and start enjoying life again. Red lip stick, noticeable jewellery and clothes – that’s the new Jola who’s finally doing what she’s been dreaming of all her life. She leaves her aggressive husband and starts a new chapter. She goes to the beach with friends and has signed up for a singing and dancing course. Here she meets Wojtek, a true gentleman who treats her like a queen. Feelings are mutual, and so Jola, in this visually engaging film, asks a crucial question. Should I try one more time or are all men essentially the same? (One World Festival, 2020)
Special screening: Supporting feature Bardzo fajné léto
We at the Bardzo fajny festival love supporting feature films. For several years already we have been introducing these before each feature film. There will be a special online screening of one-minute film documentary depicting the atmosphere of the Bardzo fajny summer cinema of 19 August. The film was done in our production by Ondřej Šálek who is a documentarist and will be available on the Dafilms platform and on Facebook.
