A sequence of short films from our partner festival ŻubrOFFka in Białystok. Enjoy some Polish and foreign animated films with the youngest family members. All films are language-barrier-free. Recommended for children between 3 and 7 years.

Online art workshop with Alžběta Zemanová
The art workshop with the illustrator Alžběta Zemanová is a fringe activity to the selection of short films for children. All you need is paper, crayons, scissors and a string and then you have everything to make some moves and invent surprising situations in the lockdown.
Alžběta Zemanová
You may know Alžběta’s work from the studio NaPOLI where she collaborates with Martina Kupsová. They focus on paper games and systems, develop the book culture and graphic design. She also works with publishing houses Baobab (Joska goes South), Albatros (Moje přítelkyně žížala, My friend earthworm). She is also a cofounder of the space for books and illustration in Prague Vršovice Xao.

The Good Heart (Dobré srdce, Evgeniya Jirkova, 2018)
There is a prehistoric family living in a forest. The mother is rough, wild and grumpy. All she seems to care about is for everyone to be healthy and to have enough to eat. All that changes the day her son brings home a little dog.
The Firefly Grove (Świetlikowy gaj, Tomasz Pilarski, 2020)
Little girl can't grab her older brother’s attention while he is playing on his console, on a sunny day in a countryside. A magpie brings sudden change to the situation by stealing the console. After an unsuccessful chase, the boy turns his anger toward his scared sister just to find the console one moment after his outburst. Then things start to happen…
The Kite (Pouštět draka, Martin Smatana, 2019)
A graduation film by the director Martin Smatana using symbols and subtle metaphors to tell a story of a little boy coping with his grandfather’s death. This atypical and uses complicated animation techniques and is intended mainly for children. It shows in a peaceful way that there is a way for us to keep in touch with our beloved ones even though all beings must leave us one day. (Anifilm)
Last day of Autumn (Dernier jour d’automne, Marjolaine Perreten, 2018)
The animals from the forest secretly collect lost bike parts as they want to build their own bikes based on their size. They prepare a great race. A race to celebrate the last day of autumn.

A Tiger with no Stripes (Tygrys bez pasków, Raùl Robin Morales Reyes, 2018)
A tiger sets off on a journey to find his lost stripes.
Robot & The Whale (Roboten och valen, Jonas Forsman, 2018)
Lobo is a cheerful robot living with his robo-dog Banjo. One day they find a whale stuck on the beach. Since they have always being helping animals in need, they try to save the whale, too. However, first Lobo needs to fight his fear of water which can destroy his electric circuits.
Cat Lake City (Antje Heyn, 2019)
Percy the cat can’t wait to spend his holidays in Cat Lake City, the cat paradise. However, the reality shocks him! Lying around on a towel is not as safe as he thought after all.
Special screening: Supporting feature Bardzo fajné léto
We at the Bardzo fajny festival love supporting feature films. For several years already we have been introducing these before each feature film. There will be a special online screening of one-minute film documentary depicting the atmosphere of the Bardzo fajny summer cinema of 19 August. The film was done in our production by Ondřej Šálek who is a documentarist and will be available on the Dafilms platform and on Facebook.
