Fifteen years of bloody civil war have left deep marks on Lebanon’s society. Decades after the war’s end Beirut is still fraught with tension and economic instability. The filmmaker follows two women, members of the same generation but from different backgrounds. Hayat and Wafaa, one Muslim and the other Christian, live in neighbourhoods where well-established political parties and regional conflicts only stir up bad memories. Are forgiveness and reconciliation possible in a city still carved up by invisible borders and broken over political and religious ideology?
