In the wake of the 2005 riots sparked by police violence, the inhabitants of Clichy-Sous-Bois mobilise in order to assert their rights. Alice Diop skilfully weaves her camera between the dilapidated tower blocks of La Forestière to give voice to the demands of the neighbourhood’s youth, gradually revealing the fragile prospects of a population left to fend for itself.
