Based on Nguyen's personal experiences, Out/Marriage captures the failed transnational marriages of four new immigrant women in Taiwan. In pursuit of happiness, they have come to Taiwan with distinct expectations at the beginning. Yet, they only find themselves disappointed by the marriages in despair. After the divorce, how do they keep going with their lives? What are the problems that their children are faced with?
