One of China’s most ambitious and expensive construction projects is the Three-Gorge-Dam. Entire residential areas have been knocked down to make way for the gigantic building scheme; new town areas are being planned as part of the overall infrastructure. From a distance the camera follows this dual movement of demolition and construction without commenting any further, and presents us as a result with a wealth of information.
