Heinz and Fred, father (70) and son (25) live beneath the same roof in the small village of Ahlsdorf in the Mansfelder Land, central Germany. They are inseparable and live in a huge realm of steal and trash where they have already restored numerous very old and broken machines such as tractors, cranes, diggers, planes and ships. Signs of past and future work are all over the place. In all these single parts slumber new ideas and new tasks. Heinz and Fred make alive the screws, leads and sheet metals. They work without having a client and without intending to use the restored products. They get up together every morning at 6 o'clock and go to bed early after a day of hard work. There is a lot to do.
