This is a two-part experimental film that explores the very nature of creativity. The first part – “Crete Island” – was created and screened as a separate film in 2007. It’s the story of Kestas’s ludicrous attempts to fulfil his dream of getting to Crete. The second part – “Confession” – is like an “inside-out” of “Crete Island”, revealing the behind-the-camera reality and the brutal creative process which can sometimes lead to certain constraints. The author engages in remorseless attempts to pick up the scenes that are usually cut in order to create a cinematic illusion. These scenes are shown as an independent cinematic phenomenon which, although it travels to “Parts Unknown”, is one that nonetheless exists.
