The monsoons of 2006 brought devastating floods to the Barmer district in Rajasthan desert of Western India. Villagers who survived the flood describe their memories, and their loss. Between the real and imagined ‘Flood of Memory’ uses a combination of live footage, charcoal and sand animation to evoke the desert landscape, and the stories of people who live within it.
