The film points out the importance of the production of medicines in the National Institute of Public Health in Prague. The film uses a re-enactment frame to present its theme; a mother and a child visit the doctor’s office and the child is served vitamin D in milk against rickets. The film further depicts the development, testing and production of sera and medicines designed primarily for children; by means of experiments on guinea pigs and mice, as well as horse blood, it is possible to produce vaccines that protect children’s health.
