For its 2021 edition, the famous South Caucasus festival CinéDOC Tbilisi looks back at the best films to ever grace the big screen there in the past 8 years. We proudly present our latest festival selection featuring the 8 best films from this festival, exclusively for international audiences.
In 2013, CinéDOC Tbilisi became the first international documentary film festival in the South Caucasus and has enjoyed immense success in highlighting the most interesting works from Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan ever since. However, the refined taste of the program team extends far beyond the borders of the Caucasus, which is why the festival has joined the ranks of major world festivals after just its first few years. And this became abundantly clear to those attending the festival's annual international documentaries section. It's from this section that the festival's programmers selected 8 documentary films for you to enjoy, which have become their own personal favourites and best characterise the festival's programme focus.
CinéDOC Tbilisi 2021 will run in a month-long hybrid format until September 15. Until then, international viewers can also enjoy a fragment of the festival's official programme on DAFilms as part of this special programme.
