On April 7, the 17th International Documentary Film Festival Visions du Réel was launched. Since it is one of the parent festivals of the Doc Alliance Films portal, you can watch some of the films screened in Nyon, Switzerland on this platform as well; they will be available from now on until April 17. The festival programme of Visions du Réel presents the Premiers Pas (First Steps) section. You can watch 15 short films including debuts, remarkable student films as well as projects of film amateurs. These include 15 and a Half, a subtle portrait of two inseparable Scottish teenagers; Extravios, a probe into the minute work of authorities searching for missing persons in Mexico; or Ici et là, a poetic metaphor exploring the situation and atmosphere in contemporary Beirut. The section offers films screened in international as well as world premiere. The portal also presents recordings of discussions with the directors held just after the festival screenings.
