Maximilien Dejoie (Italy)

Italian filmmaker Maximilien Dejoie studied digital and analog photography at the European Institute of Design (IED). He began writing and directing short films already as a teenager. His debut feature, the mockumentary The Gerber Syndrome (2011) , had a successful festival run and was distributed on digital platforms in 47 countries. In 2016, he co-directed the creative feature documentary When We Talk About KGB (2016) that talks about psychological consequences on society provoked by the Soviet regime and KGB violence. Currently he is finishing EURIMAGE supported documentary I‘ll Stand by You as co-director, cinematographer and co-producer and writing his new feature film Tinginys. Maximilien is an alumnus of workshops Ex-Oriente and Locarno Industry Academy.
