Nitzan Zirfut was born in Israel 1986 and raised near Tel Aviv to an English teacher mother and an architect father. She served in the IDF from 2005 to 2007 and then traveled the world through Asia, South America, and the United States. Nitzan is a graduate of the distinguished Sapir Academy School of Audio and Visual Arts with a BA in Visual Arts (2014). She directed her film, Stationed, as her final graduate project the same year. She directed her subsequent film, Elizabet (short independent), in 2020.
A common focus of her work combines various female perspectives of the political situation in Israel. Nitzan is currently working as an art director, designing feature films, shorts and commercials.
